Promo Friday - July

It's time for Promo Friday again!

Today, a few author friends from the Western Historical Romance Facebook group Pioneer Hearts are visiting, along with YA author Emma Bloom and Sci-fi author and blogger extraordinaire, Alex J. Cavanaugh.

First up is author E.E. Burke. Passionate romance, rich historical detail, add a dash of suspense and you've got an E.E. Burke novel. Here's a sneak peek at her latest in the series, Steam! Romance and Rails.

“Sheriff…I just shot my husband.”

Hotel owner Claire Daines is a respected member of the community. Until she shocks the entire town by rushing into a saloon wearing only her nightclothes and confessing to very inebriated lawman.

Is she a killer? Is she crazy? Or is she covering up something worse?

Sheriff Frank Garrity must get to the truth, although the tough, hard-drinking lawman hides his own secrets and would rather walk a lonely path than face his demons. But as Frank unravels Claire’s subterfuge and unlocks her heart, he’s torn between his desire to save her and his duty to bring her to justice.

Fugitive Hearts is vailable for preorder: http://amzn.to/1JGRKh7
Release date: July 28

Next is Margery Scott with her newest release, The Morgans of Rocky Ridge: Brett.

Lawyer Brett Morgan has big goals, including becoming mayor of Rocky Ridge and eventually, territorial governor. The only problem – the town council wants the mayor to be a married man, and Brett has no intention of marrying a woman he doesn’t love even if she is a ‘suitable’ politician’s wife.

Brett meets his unlikely match in Lucy Hart, a diehard miner with dusty trousers, flannel shirts and callused hands. Both Rocky Ridge and Brett's heart are in big trouble.

(Whoo-ee! Bring on the fireworks!)

You can find the Kindle version here.
A third Pioneer Hearts author, Lyn Horner, is here, sneaking her new steamy romantic suspense / supernatural story into the mix. My friends are clever and multi-talented that way. :P

Michaela Peterson can read minds but can she tell good from evil? A Guardian of Danu sworn to protect one of seven prophetic scrolls, she’s stunned when a stranger brings word that her revered leader, the High Guardian, has been murdered by “Hellhounds” who want the scrolls. She’s attracted to the handsome messenger, but is he trustworthy or out to steal the scroll she guards?

Dev Medina recognizes Michaela as the woman of his dreams. He believes she is meant for him, but can he win her trust and unlock her wounded heart before the Hellhounds come for her?

Decoding Michaela was released June 8th.
